[The French Monster Stops German Tank Divisions]
In May 1940, at the beginning of World War II, the French B1bis tank stood in the way of the German army that was invading France with overwhelming force. An improved version of the B1 tank, which had been under development since the end of World War I, began production in 1937. It boasted powerful firepower with a short-barreled 75mm howitzer mounted on the right front of the riveted hull and a long-barreled 47mm tank gun in a small turret, as well as exceptionally heavy armour of up to 60mm for its time. The B1bis was able to withstand attacks from the 37mm anti-tank gun, which was the main anti-tank gun of Germany in the early stages of the war, throwing the German army into a panic. In addition, at the Battle of Stonene in northeastern France, two companies of B1bis fought valiantly against German tank units, destroying more than a dozen German tanks despite being hit numerous times.

[Model Specifications] This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit of the B1bis tank, said to be the tank most feared by the German army on the French front in the early stages of the war. ● With a total length of 192mm, the model realistically captures the tank's distinctive features, such as its tall silhouette, the short-barreled 75mm howitzer on the right front of the hull, and the side armour covering the suspension. ● The hull body parts are made using slide moulding, resulting in highly realistic rivet details. ● The uniquely designed tracks are assembled by linking and snapping together for a realistic finish. The parts are pre-cut for easy assembly. The details on the sides of the caterpillar tracks are precisely reproduced. ● The commander's periscope is rotatable. The driver's periscope can also rotate to a limited angle. ● Two types of fenders and mufflers are included to match the markings. ● Includes a metal towing chain and one commander figure that fits into the rear hatch of the turret. ● Includes four types of markings and a colour painting guide with the complex camouflage paint scheme unique to French tanks. ● The reverse side of the painting guide features a compelling battle record detailing the valiant efforts of the B1bis tank.
